Ning

Ok finished -- I am officially finished.

I signed up for Ning and joined a group of Phillips' and found out it was not my family. Had to get out of site and remove my info.

Oh well . I am there.

I have FINISHED~!!!!!!

It was fun doing the BLUE 2.0, but it was TMI. I had a very hard time keep up with all the info/technology flying by. It would have been much better at a slower pace.

Thanks for the experience.

facebook

I have completed the facebook activity. It took me a while to find different groups and add. I have some friends added.

MySpace

Here is my link to MySpace. I have had an account for a few months so I can share pix with others.

Youtube

I chose a Youtube about Library Fun. It was produced by 4 guys having fun. The video was pretty good except the words were on the screen only long enough to read only 3-4 words. It was a silly video on visiting the library and see what it has to offer. Other than that the video was good.

Podcast

Well I tried to do the podcast without success. So I listened to some.
I liked the podcast from Focus on the Family. Focus on the family is a Christian organization that supports the family. They describe themselves as "dedicated to nurturing and defending families worldwide" and protecting family values." They have many different programs and magazines for children, teens, young adults, parents, and grandparents. Anyway the podcast I listened to was the interview of Chris Anthony by Bob and Jesse. Chris Anthony has been the opening announcer of the radio show "Adventures in Odyssey". Chris has been the announcer since the beginning of the show, 25 years ago. It was an interesting podcast since I do listen to the show when I can. The podcast was a little hard to understand since there was an echo in the background. The interview was quick and informative. Chris still enjoys doing the show and is planning on continuing. On the show she sounds like she is ~16 years old, but I think she is in her mid 30's or 40's. Anyway the podcast was interesting.

Flicker

Flicker was a little hard. I don't do much with digital pictures, so I needed to think a bit.
Here is the address:

Not sure how it can be used in the library except for a "Classified website"

Hi all,

I have been experimenting with 2nd Life for a couple of weeks.

Here I am relaxing with a book.

Here I am working on the Google Docs. I finally have a chance to see what this site will do. It looks a lot like old Word (2003 and before).

del.icio.us was pretty easy to work. I like it since I have different locations I can log on and keep all my bookmarks together.

del.icio.us blog

Ok -- this was not so bad. I have completed the del.icio.us part of my assignment. I have my account set up as http://del.icio.us/yeahcamp This was fun in a different way. It will help in that when I am at home I can see things I have come across while at work.

See ya next time.

Completed tasks - as of February 21st

Well it is time update what I have completed while going through the weeks of Blue 2.0.
As you can see I have created my Blog and the chat. This is the first blog I have created. I have used chat for over 5 years and love it. It is the best way to keep in touch with my friends and family.

I am new to RSS, newsreaders and wikis. I did sign up for some RSS' and newsreaders. I did create a wiki for my most favorite Jamaican recipe. This is the first time I have been able to do anything with Blue 2.0 for awhile. I am now endeavoring to work on weeks 5 & 6 Tagging and online applications.

I will post again when I get out of the mysterious world of Tagging and online applications.

See ya when I get back.......

Miss B and Ti

Miss B saying please let me go outside. OK -- I am ready. What's taking so long?

Ti -- What? You want me to be friends with her? What a little barking, growling, staring little animal.

Miss B at home

Well we have had Miss B at home now for about 3 weeks. She is doing GREAT and now knows she needs to let us know when she wants to go outside. No more messes inside. Miss B and my cat (Ti) have learned how to exist with another low walking critter. They are both about the same size and are not sure what to do around the other one. More updates at a later date.
